Pelvic Floor Strength Specialist Reveals:

Your Foolproof Plan For Leak-Free Lifting, More Strength, Muscle,

And Never Feel Like Your

“Marbles Are Falling Out” Ever Again

Are You Tired Of Your

Pelvic Health Symptoms like Stress Incontinence, prolapse, and pelvic pain during and post workout?

Yes, There Is a Program For Women With a 12-Week Program Who Love The Barbell:

Everyday, I hear the same story from women all over the world and it’s heartbreaking. “My doctor told me I need to drastically change my lifestyle and quit lifting.” Amanda was one of these women. An incredible CrossFit Athlete who had a passion for pushing as hard as humanly possible, she found herself feeling like “marbles falling out” and peeing during her lifts (and pretty much everything else from laughing, running, and playing with her kids, for that matter.). Amanda's Testimonial

Amanda lost her competitive drive. She lost a piece of herself and lost all hope of getting it back.

Even Amanda’s pelvic floor physiotherapist felt that her hard AF training days were over because her pelvic floor dysfunctions were the most severe she’d ever seen. Amanda’s self-esteem plummeted. She became so anxious, she was losing sleep.

As a busy mom of 3, Amanda knew she needs more for herself.

But Amanda’s pelvic floor dysfunctions were taking over her life, affecting every aspect. Her relationship with her young family but most importantly her relationship with herself was suffering.

All because of how her body was responding to her training.   Amanda blamed herself for what was happening. She was angry with herself. She wasn’t able to train without peeing.

She felt she failed her body. She thought it wasn’t possible to feel like herself again.

She thought she was doing everything right as far as training during pregnancy. She listened to the doctors when they said “you can do what you’ve always done before pregnancy, during pregnancy” and “listen to your body.”

Which isn’t enough for pregnancy and postpartum athleticism. Guidance given by health care providers and coaches is based on risks to the baby, not the mom or her body. This guidance is failing women long term.

Pelvic floor dysfunctions are life-altering, affecting everything from how the body functions to body image. At the time I met Amanda, her abdomen was caving inward while she squatted, she has difficulties with her pelvic and spinal mobility, and she always has the feeling that something was falling out from the inside.

And there were never-ending trips to the bathroom to avoid leaking.

Over the next several months, Amanda has to relearn everything she knew about lifting. She needed to learn to breathe in order to learn to move.

Most importantly, Amanda had to learn how to become aware of her body and feel every single working muscle. Not just work every single muscle.

Then through a friend. She found me…

Terrell Baldock:

Founder of The Barbell Balance, and a lovely family of 5.

Mom and 3 kids with barbell I’m all about about taking care of you and meeting you where you’re at. You will learn strategies to heal and to thrive in your athleticism. 3 years ago, only 12-weeks postpartum with my second baby, I was diagnosed with a pelvic organ prolapse of my bladder and urethra.

I had some incontinence during my workouts before pregnancy, but never imagined it was related to my pelvic floor.   I had no one to turn to for help. So I became that person.

Through rehab, courses and working closely with pelvic floor physiotherapists, I became comfortable to begin training at a higher capacity.

I had to put my training plans on hold, temporarily. After a surprise pregnancy, unplanned c-section and a round of rehab that took 4-months, I signed up for CrossFit. No leaks, no sagging, no symptoms. Yes, there is life beyond pelvic floor dysfunctions like incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse.

I get it.  Being a mom of 3 three makes life tricky. But you can reach your goals in less time than you think.

If you’re the kind of woman who loves to lift and feels defeated due to a pelvic floor dysfunction, I will show you how:

"

We are going to end the fallacy that women can lift like men. (Women are not only anatomically different but we are structurally and hormonally different as well. Because of these differences, women are left vulnerable to pelvic floor dysfunctions like pelvic organ prolapse.)

"

Women’s body change during and after pregnancy and contrary to popular belief, we don’t get our “pre-baby” body’s back” (During pregnancy, your body goes through massive hormonal and structural change to adapt to a growing baby. Your abdomen will separate, your pelvic widens, and some women even say their feet grow a full size.)

"

Your birth can impact how your body recovers post-pregnancy. It’s common for women to have medically intervened births to prevent risks to mom and baby. You may be dealing with a vaginal tear, episiotomy, or c-section, which all can affect how you lift AND your pelvic function.

I Was Told My High-Impact Training Days Were Behind Me When I Was Diagnosed With a Grade 2 Pelvic Organ Prolapse.

You see, I myself was diagnosed with a pelvic organ prolapse 3 years ago, after the birth of my second baby. I thought my days of heavy lifting were over. It crushed me to think I’d never get my body to a place where I’d enjoy may training. I thought I was stuck with “pelvic floor” safe exercise which is far from fun when you enjoy deadlifting 100 pounds, or more than your bodyweight.

Do a google search. You will see the doom and gloom when it comes to being diagnosed with a pelvic organ prolapse.

M

Don’t lift anything heavier that 10 pounds (um ok. I have a 30 pound toddler and a 20 pound baby. How is that going to work?)

M

Stick to “pelvic floor safe” fitness programs (Oh, cause that’s fun. Squat with 10 pound dumbbells, anyone?)

M

The only way to cure a pelvic organ prolapse is to get surgery (The success rates of mesh implants are actually quite low and again, you can’t lift anything heavier than 10 pounds.

How I Got Back to High-Impact Training

N

I focused on training my deep core muscles rather than my “6-pack”. If you want to reduce the “mummy tummy”, you need to train from the inside to make strong on the outside.

N

Full body strength and conditioning so I didn’t have to spend hours in the gym. I don’t know about you, but spending hours in the gym everyday isn’t practical when you have kids.

N

Progressively increased intensity as my body became stronger and symptoms were non existent. The only way to heal your body, is to challenge it.

No leaking, no sagging, no symptoms.

Over a 3 year period, I trained women privately who were dealing with pelvic floor dysfunctions like pelvic organ prolapse, stress incontinence, pubic symphysis dysfunction, and sciatica during and post-pregnancy. CrossFit athletes, figure competitors, marathon runners, volleyball players, and women who were just starting out were reaching out to me because they had felt like all hope was gone.

All of these women desperately wanted to get back into the sports they loved and almost all were told to give up by healthcare providers. If you’ve found yourself here, chances are you feel like you have to choose between your athleticism and your vagina.

The problem is there are few coaches trained in coaching both athletics and the pelvic floor. It has always been one or the other. The other is what most women choose.

Until now.

Introducing Barbells For Lady Parts

Z

I bridge the gap between pelvic floor rehab and fitness so you can have both, symptom free.

Z

You don’t have to give up on your high-impact training like, powerlifting, or any other sport that presents symptoms.

Z

You can train and learn to manage your pelvic health symptoms at the same time. You don't have to chose one over the other

Z

And you certainly CAN lift heavier than 10 pounds, run, and be the athlete you want to be.

Want To Get Stronger Now Then You Were Before?

This is how we do it:

Make Strength Training a Priority.

The focus here is on building strength strategically while incorporating your pelvic floor. The only way to build a pelvic floor that can handle high-impact, you have to build a pelvic floor to handle high-impact.

You’re Going To Retrain Powerlifts.

You are going to learn to lift in a whole new way. Smarter. Combining breathing, alignment strategies, and lifting to take the pressure off your pelvic floor allowing it to move optimally. In traditional strength training, you are often coached to hold your breath during maximal lifts, which doesn’t allow movement, which can exacerbate your symptoms.

You Are Going To Train Your Entire Body.

You’re busy, I get it. So your workouts are going to be 30-40 minutes 3x weekly, and they can be done at home or in the gym.

Finally, a serious Weightlifting and Metcon training program for women who are dealing with a pelvic health symptoms.

I loved that the workout could be completed in a short period of time. I also loved combining cardio and strength – usually, I train one way before moving on to the next according to my plan.

Here’s What My Clients Are Saying:

Stephanie testimonialTerrell is VERY knowledgeable about pre- and post-natal physiology. She understands what women go through during pregnancy, labour and recovery. She understands how a woman’s body can best be prepared for (and rehabilitated after) childbirth and provides excellent advice.

Stephanie

Triathlete

Stephanie was referred by a pelvic floor physiotherapist after the birth of her second baby. We started working together when Stephanie was about a year postpartum and ready to get back into training. She was dealing with abdominal separation and a grade 2 pelvic organ prolpase and wanted to manage both before diving in. Within weeks, she was back to running and was experiencing zero symptoms. Within 8 weeks of training together, Stephanie became pregnant with baby number 3 and training priorities changed. Now at 7 months postpartum with her third baby, Stephanie is back to her training after successfully completing her treatment with her pelvic floor physiotherapist and with me. She is currently symptom free and feeling stronger now than she was as a triathlete.
